Like domain names, once you paid for and are issued a certificate, you can't change it. If you need a more secure certificate immediately, you can purchase it and install it on the same web server as the old certificate. If you don't need the more secure certificate immediately, you can wait until your current certificate expires and install a more secure one at that time.
