If you get this error:

Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to yoursitesdomain.com.
SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.
(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

  • The page you are trying to view can not be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
  • Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem.
  • Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.

The error above indicates that the SSL is not correctly installed for the domain you attempted to access the server with securely (when the page is visited with https://) and typically means that the certificate would need to be reinstalled. If you do not have an SSL, you will need to order one to resolve the error.

If you have already purchased an SSL and you are receiving this error after installation is complete, please contact our support team in order to resolve this issue promptly.

When contacting support, please provide the following:

  1. Your primary domain
  2. The full URL where the error is occurring
  3. The exact error message
  4. Whether Website.com.bn installed the SSL for you

Because this error usually pertains to a configuration on the server relating to the SSL, our system administrators will be glad to evaluate the issue and provide a prompt resolution.
